My three-D version of The Milkmaid (sixteen fifty-eight) by Johannes Vermeer (sixteen thirty-two - sixteen seventy-five) he was a dutch painter who specialized in domestic interior scenes of middle class life. And he is the same author of Girl With a Pearl Earring. Im thinking to convert another famous painting in three-D, any suggestions?
Oh, um, I have a suggestion. It's not really a painting, but the poster for the famous silent film, Metropelous, also know as the mechanical woman. (please forgive my spelling. I'm very tired..)
thesuperc, if you have stopped a minute to read the description of the image, you would see the credits to Vermeer. The work was digitally repainted and converted to 3D, a difficult task, so I must sign it.
It looks like some people have the ability to write, but not to read. Even if U hadn´t creditd the original artist people have to known this artwork... it`s part of art lessons in school. I know how difficult it is to do 1:1 copies in 3D (but in another way). So the vision of 3D is your work alone and it is also a unique kind of art. I would give U more "Likes", if I could. Keep up the amazing work! = )
dammit! I've just left a comment on another picture saying it was the best 3D effect I've seen. But for depth and execution I'd say this was better imo. Great job!
The detail is astonishing and the 3d works very well. I've liked so many of your works. Just looking at your gallery's thumbnails show you are one of Colors! 3D's greatest artists.
Amazing work Lucsdf, your fitting quite nicely amongst some of the top artist on here as for what some people have wrote about you copying to me recreating art is an art form in itself and as you say transforming it to 3D is a feat in its self so excellent work and look forward to seeing more from you :)*
oh, wow, Lucs! i just checked your gallery for the first time in weeks (i've been sooo busy with my family) & as soon as i saw this, before i saw your description, i knew this was Dutch & Vermeer...YOU NAILED IT! it's so amazing...he's famous for using light in new, wonderful ways as well as depicting everyday life & people...of course YOU know that but i am so proud to say that i know you even if only through this application...you were able to capture all the subtleties of light & shadow & transform this into 3D form. So many artists have tried to copy this &/or tried to learn his style of light play & failed-except you...& you accomplishisd this on a tiny screen with a stylus! I think you should be given the title of "Colors3D Great Master" just like Vermeer, Van Gogh, Renoir, etc. etc. Once again you give us all something to aspire to-Thank You!-Letty(anoia)
p.s. i agree, you have every right to sign this as your work-you did the conversion, you get to sign. Oh, and I know that someone has already done a great Van Gogh 'Starry Night' but maybe you could do his "Sunflowers" or Georgia O'Keefe (any of her New Mexico landscapes/buildings) or even some of the old Chinese silk paintings or watercolors (I'm half Chinese, so that would rock!) - Letty
The second I saw this I thought it looked Vermeer. I love the way you used 3D on the mouth of the bottle and on the box. (Not quite sure what that is on the floor) Vermeer would be proud. :D
There are some words that I want to tell you.It may be too late for many months. To say a word. But I want to tell you that. thanks for your comment on my picture.
If you want a challenge, try painting "Nymphs and Satyr" by William Bouguereau, or a fun one to try would be "Grecian Reverie" by John William Godward.
Ive noticed you are very good with the shades of gray.I know I spund like some art master but I SUCK at Colors!3D. If you dont belive me, check out my gallery. Can you (or some other highly skilled artist)help me? By the way, very good painting *like*
LUCS!!! Where are you!? Where did you go? if you check this or read this at all leave a message on my gallery. I Miss You & Your Art, Lucs! -Anoia aka Letty
Its so amazing! especially the fact that you did this on this little thing called 3ds! unbelieveable! even if i saw this in a museom i would say WOW o.O there are talented artists!
saaytin that's because the community has gone from giving constructive criticism to a child like playground where the decent artist are accused of tracing or are abused for being good, I personally used to love posting my art here, getting criticism helped develop what i drew but getting abused for posting decent art has just pushed me away which is possibly what has happened to the guys you mention above :/
I think a lot of people get jealous over your talent Micky, its a shame some people feel the need to make unconstructive negative comments on the work of others, don't stop posting your work on here due to stupid feedback, I'm sure I speak for a lot of folk who love and look forward to your artwork :))
