coolkelly, the joke is not on me because I also found it hillarious when I first saw it. But now the original upload is gone, someone else is doing the exact same thing again and getting the exact same amount of likes and it has made a lot of great artist so angry that they decided to leave rhis community. I never supported this joke because I knew that was exactly what would happen. It's funny though because osmin has deleted his work. Now Flyingpig on the other hand... decided to revive this joke again. *sigh remembering when Colors was for DS only, it had so many beautiful painting and barely any crap drawings...
I'll be honest, these members may be remembered for their dot drawings and since it has caused so much grief (heck lots of my friends left Colors, calling this gallery a joke), which will probably cause them to never get week's best for any other drawings they do.

the juxtaposition of light and dark is uncanny. the brushstrokes are seemless. true mastery at work in this piece. the painting is made in such a way that your eyes are inevitably drawn to the center of the canvas. few works here have shown such thought and attention to detail.

I can't help but to feel bad for everyone that put effort into their work... My poison dart frogs and my seahorse was put to shame by a dot. *sigh* I only put up with this community because I love to paint and I love to see paintings of others but if its going to be nothing but a blank page and dots I think I will just give up on colors... I actually don't mind if this is in TWB... Not the end of the world or anything. All we can do is just continue drawing until we get better. "Every artist was at first an amateur"-Ralph W. W h o e v e r, If you don't want to prove my point, i wouldn't start with the statement "shut up". I know he stole a joke, But there's not enough hate for him and too much hate for the Dot. And him puting himself above others? Exactly what you just tried to do. Of course it's puting others to shame with the minimal effort, but being jealous of the dot's fame isnt so beautiful to see either. Do i want to have my efforts recognized? 1- The original dot had some love-it-or-hate-it attitude to it and there are many people who simply hate the joke. But even if you were supportive of this joke before, (I found the first dot to be hillarious but I guess thats not everyones sense of humor), the reason why people think it was funny was because of its originality and unexpectedness. FlyingPig stole the joke and made it go on for too long, rendering the above points as non-existent. He also doesn´t want to convey a message since it´s pretty clear that he uploaded it just to get likes which makes him just as bad, if not worse, than the people jealous of the dot. I don´t see a reason to support him...

Well, Im NOT supporting the user (thought i had made that obvious), I'm supporting the dot. Puting yourselves above others? the "shut up" made that clear enough. I don't appreciate users who completely destroy any hope of manners in the first sentence (You, however maintained your calmness, thanks for that) because they often portray themselves as above the "competition", and i especially don't appreciate those who reject the other's opinion without reasoning, often only leaving only a "shut up" in response (Again, you proved above the average and provided a reasonable demeanor. Thanks again).
Well, to me most of the humor one can get from this comes from the assumption that the creator had a funny new idea or wanted to convey a message. With a user like Flying Pig however, it´s just a no-effort painting someone is trying to milk the system with. The worst thing for me is that FP doesn´t even care about the haters. He doesn´t oppose thier opinions, he doesn´t troll them, he just doesn´t care because he doesn´t care about his work at all. It gets him likes and he doesn´t want to understand why people dislike it and dismisses every criticism as a form of cyberbullying. With such a creator, the joke is absolutely lost on me...
Oh and, yeah, a lot of people are easily angered here but saying they´re better is more a result of thier angriness instead of thier thought from begin on. It destroys a reasonable discussion when people bring thier "position" to play. But it´s more saying something dumb that they´ll regret later. Thinking you have a better point and showing it is sth different tho.
Geez, I just don´t like him and I let off my steam a little bit. Just because someone critcises someone else harshly, that doesn´t mean that they put themselves in a position higher than anyone else. I wasn´t unjustifyably mean to him, I had reasons to be harsh and I don´t see why this is such a big deal :I
I see the point you are trying to make, but not a purpose for making that point. I completely agree with you that FlyingPig is an Insult to the Colors community, But i don't really see the point in explaining something to me that i already agree with you on. I mean no disrespect here, but i'm really trying to stress that I support the Dot, not FlyingPig. Because there's plenty of uneducated hate for the Dot and its original creator, You know? Oh, and pardon me with the "putting others down" stuff. It was redundant and i should not have brought it in to a logical conversation.
Ok everyone. Im sure by now FlyingPig gets the idea that most of the comments you are giving him are the haters and the *likers*. But sometimes people can be unkind and I get that. I made a discussion about the original dot before and it´s still in my gallery if you want to look at it. But there is a point where I just don´t want to be nice anymore. And Flying Pigs constant ignorance about everything has made me pass it. I think what I said needed to be said...
Let´s put it like this: When people commented "This is the best thing ever!" on the original dot I thought they had a sense of humor and didn´t take C!3D this seriously. When people say "This is the best thing ever!" on this dot I think they don´t know that someone made the exact same joke with the exact same results before, especially when they say it´s creative or original. It makes a difference to me.

Well with all the backlash in his other drawings, he is the perfect representation of the most hated colors member here. They mostly claim the fact that he keeps copying others and claim his unorininality so I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to leave. He also insulted another member (TCG) for his unoriginality. And I'm sorry but that's when he drew the line. Because TCG is full of creatuve juice and is original unlike FP.

You guys are missing an important thing that totally makes the arguments of the supporters invalid: Flying Pig didn't act like this was a joke. He fully worshiped his dot, and was a total jerk about it. He made memes about it, for crying out loud, and he even said this: "Hahaha, Osmin's dot is no longer, only mine remains >:D"
Not to mention just how much of a butt he was to TCG by calling him stupid, and insulting his art.

So what if it has more likes than a lot of other paintings? It isn't as if it's 'stealing' your glory. Not to offend anyone, but even if this didn't have many likes and your painting didn't either, it isn't as if your painting will be featured on top rated. Just paint for the hay of it! likes or not, just be creative and have fun! There are lots of unheard artists, spectacular ones, that deserve more than they get, but they don't care if they don't get 'likes'.
Being an Artist means you have a passion for creativity and imagination. A true Artist doesn't create something just to be 'famous' . . .
